There are several simple and inexpensive ways to clean and polish chrome that do not involve the use of potentially toxic chemicals. One is by rubbing with a soft cloth that has been dipped in white vinegar and ordinary table salt. A second is by rubbing with half of a lemon that has been dipped in salt. Chrome can also be polished by wiping with a soft cloth to which a small amount of nail polish remover or acetone has been applied. Created September 30, 2006. |
