Buttons can be made more resistant to coming off of clothing by dabbing the top center of each one with a small amount of clear fingernail polish. The polish acts as an adhesive to bond the threads going through the holes and prevent breakage of individual threads from leading to a full-scale unraveling. Created September 30, 2006. |
