Although we love dogs, cats and many other creatures, for some reason they seem to love garbage almost as much as they like us. An easy way to keep them out of the garbage is to use some full-strength household ammonia in or around it. For example, rags can be tied to the lids of garbage cans and then drenched in ammonia. Or ammonia can be poured into rags or old paper towels inside of garbage cans. Created September 30, 2006. |
