Typical refrigerator odors can be eliminated by merely keeping an opened box of baking soda in the refrigerator. This will also work for cupboards as well, although they are not as prone to odors as are refrigerators. The baking soda eventually reaches its odor absorption capacity, and thus it should be replaced every month or two. The removed baking soda can then be used for other purposes. For example, it can be poured down a drain and then followed by boiling water to help keep the drain from clogging. Created September 30, 2006. |
