Note: Cornstarch, referred to as cornflour in some countries, is a fine white powder that is made by grinding the white heart of corn kernels. It is most commonly used in foodstuffs, mainly as a thickening agent for sauces, soups, gravies and puddings as well as for Chinese foods.
